PRG 2" with AAL or NissTec 2" with AAL

Looking at ordering a 2 inch lift kit for my truck. I really like the idea of the extra leaf spring or add a leaf to the back. I have narrowed the choices down to the PRG 2" Lift Spaces and AAL and the NissTec 2" With Spacer and AAL.

From what I can tell both kits offer the same result in the end, but it looks like the PRG spacer bolts to the top of the shock and doesn't preload the spring. The NissTec one looks like it preloads the spring.

I was going to get the NissTech one but the PRG one looks like it may be better since it doesn't preload the front springs.

Anyone have any good information about which method is better? Are there any concerns over one method versus the other?

Noxious007 runs the Nisstec kit. The Nisstec spacer assures no coil bucket contact. The PRG cannot make the same claim. The AAL from PRG is two leaves, so it won't straighten as quickly, but it also won't offer the flex as the Nisstec. I would honestly go Nisstec, because of the front spacers. The difference in the rear AAL is null since they are both temporary solutions anyways. At some point, your truck will most likely need new leaf packs.

Would a person have to worry about coil contact with just a 2 inch lift?

Just from what I can tell the prg kit would allow for two more inches of travel since your not taking away two inches from the preload.

Is this really a concern? I mostly run easy trails and old logging roads and remote county roads.

Either kit will do you fine..

We had the PRG spacers on MississippiGal's X before we switched to new coilovers. She had some coil bucket contact off road and even going over some railroad tracks in town. SoonerFan on TNX bought the spacers from us and I don't think he has any contact issues. No experience with the Nisstec parts.

I'm thinking that I will go with the NissTec kit. That was my original choice but wanted to fully explore my options. If anyone else has any further info feel free to chime in.

Thanks for all of the useful info.

Ordered the NissTec Kit. Used the code and saved another 13 bucks. Plan on installing this coming weekend at my buddies shop. Can't wait.

Has anybody installed one of these on a Pro4-X yet? I ask because some of the lifts out there specify that theres won't work because they lift the front higher than the rear for leveling. Chris at NissTec told me that it will work.
