Hey gang,

So getting a nasty rotational squeaking noise when driving. If car is sitting for a little (hr or more) and then begin driving, I get a really loud SQUEEK SQUEAK SQUEAK from my front passenger wheel.
If I apply brakes it goes away (prob straightening the rotor and shaft) also if i turn to the left it goes away, but is more prominent if i turn to the right.

im 99.99% sure its a wheel bearing, but before i drop some money, just wanted to get a confirmation

Thanks again! :D

I had the same thing and thought it was the bearing also, but it turns out it was the shield that is in back of the rotor. For some reason it was only when I turned left and after 10 min or so when I was driving straight.

A hammer and a flat head screw driver fixed it. Hope it is the same for you.

Lug nuts torque to spec?
If not these check your brake pads for wear/chunks missing.
To check your bearings, lift the tire off the ground and try to wiggle the wheel. If there is play unrelated to your steering (IA bearings, etc.) that usually means wheel bearings.

Ya, I'd agree that it is definitely related to your brakes. If it was the wheel bearing it more than likely wouldnt go away until the wheel stopped turning, just applying brakes wouldnt make it stop. Bklyn.X is right, it may not just be the shield either, you may need to look at the actual brake pads to check them for damage. Good luck.
