Pic of headliner removed

Does ANYONE have a pic of or know how the interior lights and the sun visors are attached to the ceiling? I really don't want to attempt to remove my headliner and stuff in this cold wind and screw it up just to see if an idea will work.

Any help?

The mounts go through the headliner. Everything still mounts up to the steel roof. I've taken one out with Broden and everything mounts right back up. Also its not much colder/hotter at all. Not even that much noisy..

its just screws and a 10mm i believe.its realy easy take you 10 mins at the most taking it off. the hardest part is folding the cardboard to actually get it out of the truck.

The pan itself is not hard to get out, after you take all of the trim panels out, and all of the retaining clips it drops rite out. I ended up just sanding the pan down and painting it Less to get dirty, easier to clean.

Having not pulled any other headliners on an X I cant tell you if it will be fiberglass or not but the one in my 04 is, and I really doubt that yours will be anything different.

I was trying to see if an overhead console could be fashioned but needed to know how the lighting was actually connected to the roof before I started taking thinds apart. Since there is a support bar, there's a chance. Like I needed another project to spend time and money on ... lol.

Anyway I found a local plasics place that is willing to spec something out ... who knows. Thanks

Like everyone else has said its really easy to remove everything. I did it when it was about 105 degrees out. I still have it out seeing that i haven't had time to redo it yet. But it really doesn't make the temperature in the vehicle any different. But I have noticed that it makes closing the doors (like if a passenger was to get out while your still sitting in truck) a LOT louder. lol But on the road there's no difference.
