    Hey all,

If anyone is around, we have at least two Xterras headed up Peter's Mill Run in George Washington National Forest.

Plan is to meet at the 7-11 in Woodstock, VA at 5pm next Thursday (8/6/2020), then do the run from Edinburgh Gap and exit out the north end.

More info: there is a $5 day use trail pass (or $30 annual pass) you'll need to get at the 7-11. Meet at 5pm there, then drive about 15 minutes to the Edinburgh Gap entrance to air down and start the trail. Last time we did a 5pm meet we exited the trail at 8:20pm. We stopped a few times for pictures/videos and probably will this time. We go slow, because for at least a couple of us the X is our daily driver and we can't be beating it up too bad.

Please bring a mask for when we're out of the vehicles if in close proximity. Please also be aware that it seems Woodstock is firmly anti-mask territory, and despite all the signs and the current law, the patrons and employees of the 7-11 clearly don't care. If you're at high risk, one of us already going in can grab a pass for you if you'd like.

As of August 3, noon: 6 total confirmed. 5 Xterras, 1 WRX

It's rated as "easy." I honestly thought it would be easier than it was, but the only real challenge is choosing a correct path. A completely stock 4x4 could do it without problem. There are a couple spots where the stock plastic mudguards are at risk, but it can be done unscathed.

Some people claim 4wd isn't even necessary, but with the rain you'll absolutely need it for at least the initial climb.

With stops for pictures and socializing it usually takes less than three hours. Last time we did a 5pm meetup we were off the trail a little before sunset.

No , I didn't want to be on a trail and have something break fri evening when I gotta be up at 4:30 sat/sun mourning's but since it's not Fri put me down as .5/half of an X as I want to do a couple thing's to Odo[ oil chang/lube gather a couple d ring's ] between now and thursday . Direction site said 2 hour's give/take; with rush hour 3-3.5 hour's . I'm guessing at least one person has a winch , I've up graded my suspension but haven't did bumper's/winch yet with only a ARB snatch strap for recovery gear .

I don't think anyone has a winch. But unless somebody intentionally does something stupid (like turning down an ATV trail) or is incredibly reckless, there’s no way a winch would be needed there. I have basic recovery gear as well as a hi-lift I can use as a come-along if needed, but there really shouldn’t be any recovery situation.

Also, here is a couple video clips from just messing around on an iPad.

Well I finally got to stretch Odo's leg's yesterday and also get my first venture into 4 wheeling [grew up on dirt bike's , last one being a 490 YZ] A big thank's to Jay [ffxcores] for throwing this together and the Battlewagoneer for leading the way. I don't know what kind of suspension he's got on that Subaru WRX but..;) I'M IMPRESSED""""""""""""" I just wished I was directly behind him to watch !!! It was great to meet everyone and do some wheeling:D I would say the only down side was it was over too fast:( The first 10-15 minute's on the trail I had some pucker factor going on , but I just told myself " that Xterra in front of me did it , so let's go Odo !! . I tried to watch the line's of the vehicle n front of me when I could and pick my own when I couldn't and learned a few other thing's along the way. All in all a really good experience.

Hey Ivan , nice to meet u and the family and hope you had a safe trip home. When you passed me and turned into the store before Rt66 you had an unusual noise come from the motor when you had the pedal down. Hope it's not too bad !

Thanks so much for everyone coming out. It was a great time! Fun with that many trucks, and like @TheCrabby1 said, it was over too fast. We need to do it again during the day or on a weekend when we can hang out a bit and experiment with different lines and such. Since I don't have any armor and this is my daily I'm pretty paranoid about breaking something. But if we don't have to worry about daylight we can relax a little.

I’ll post more pics and videos soon. This was my first off-road trip since doing the u-bolt flip kit, and I was worried about needing to trim the excess, but the GoPro confirmed that the bolts nest around the stock bump stop nicely. So I at least got some diagnostics out of the way... Now I just need to check the rear diff for leaks since I had the cover off this week.
