Overheating... (my experiences)

Well for those who didn't know including myself. If you for some reason do not have an thermostat installed (or stuck open), depending how much pressure your water pump puts out, you will overheat at highway speed due to circulation too fast to cool the engine down. I did not know that as it has never hit my mind before. New thermostat going in!

Also... make sure you have shrouds and foam or rubber encasing your condenser to radiator so your fan can work properly

Had that problem when my fan clutch went out. At idle the temp was fine but shot up as soon as I hit 30.

It took me a new fan clutch, water pump, radiator cap, and radiator for my idiot self to take a look at the thermostat. I knew coolant was flowing so i figured it won't overheat if it is stuck open.... this big dummy didn't really take time to think about it. I had overheating issues with the VG33E but that stopped after I rebuilt the fan clutch.
