New Xterra 4.3 mini din stock radio swap?

Has anyone else wondered if the new LCD screen stock radio with GPS, backup Cam, SAT radio will fit the GEN 2 opening and wire up? I really like that new radio over any aftermarket radios with similar features. I have found images of the rear panels of both radios and of course the plugs are different. So a simple plug and play will not work. But doesn't mean the harness couldn't be purchased to fit radio and wires tied into old harness. Would take some time to decode each wire, but a trial and error I am willing to make. With regards to size, it most definitely looks like it will fit. I think the temp / fan controllers would have to be swapped as well, but no biggie.

Does anyone have any thoughts or considerations about this mod? Anyone already attempt this?
