Is it true that I have to replace both LCA's if my ball joints are bad?

No, you can get lowers without swapping the arm. Rock Auto has several options, from $40 - $50. There is no official procedure (Nissan would rather sell the arm), so if you do swap 'em, do a write up.

Called my local parts supply house and you can buy ball joints for $41 a piece. Not going to do a write up cause all im doing is taking the lca's off and taking them to get pressed in for $20 a piece. Thats way cheaper than buying new lca's.

I've got new lower ball joints sitting in the garage to swap them when I finish my suspension lift. I'm just going to do it w/ a balljoint press. I'll do a writeup and take pictures when I get to it.
