lift kit advice

The only downside to this kit is the quality. You dont know if the parts are built to what you need. What happens if the shackles aren't thick enough and they twist or crack while you're driving? Bad news.

But I dont know what all you would need for a gen 2 to lift it. I know the shackles themselves will lift the rear agood amount, not too sure on the spacers.

sweet after taking some look at some other threads that mentioned that the rear is higher than the front i just decided to give this a try and see if its really what i desire. and if i get the nisstec spacers if its not what i want i can just get the rest from nisstec. Im not very good with this stuff this is my first time actually owning a vehicle that i actually wanted to put money into besides gas and oil changes haha.

This will give you great bang for your buck. It's a relatively easy install with another pair of hands, especially experienced ones, and the biggest possibility for something making it difficult is seized bolts, or rounding off the tops of nuts and bolts when trying to remove them. This gives a good amount of lift overall while still keeping you on a good budget.

And don't forget to use the forum discount code!

Let me jump into this very interesting thread myself.

I have this: http://www.nissteclifts.com/index.php?page=shop.product_details&flypage=flypage.tpl&product_id=58955&category_id=157&option=com_virtuemart&Itemid=76

It's sitting in a nice box in PA where I am actually driving to tomorrow. So it needs some installing!

My Dad and I are stumped. How does one install it. Anyone seen the instructions or anything? Have personal knowledge??

Here yah go. You've even commented on it before haha.

Just my two cents, because I know a guy who lifted a Xterra or two... :)

I would go with the Add A Leaf over the shackles, the gen II rear springs can have a tendency to flatten out in some model years.

Good for you. Just a bit of warning...you WON'T stop there. It kinda becomes and addiction...well maybe not an addiction, but definitely an obsession. Congrats on this one though.

I've got a combo of Nisstec and PRG, no complaints from either. Nisstec is a very cool guy, will definitely continue my suspension modding through them!

Necro-posting...

It's lift time, looking for some heavy duty coils on the front, don't want to do UCA's (yet) and need to level out the rear after the front comes up along with it...
