Keyless Entry Clicker?

Hey Guys,

I would like to get a clicker for my 00' but I'm unsure if it's able to be programed/my X has the equipment to program it. Is there a way to find this out? I'm just planning on getting one off Ebay for like $15.00. Worst case scenario I can re-sell it but just wasn't sure if there was a way to check before hand. I've never had a car with one so this would be my first.

Do you have power locks? If so I would say that it will work, The keyless remote just hits the frequency of the locks telling them to lock or unlock, thus why you have to program it to your truck so it doesn't just unlock every car.

you need to go look under your dash just above the hood release handle, and you will see a white box. on the front of the box you will see a fcc id code. mine looks like this

Whatever you get needs to work with that code. I have an early run 2000 model and have not been able to find a fob that will work with mine.

Just go on amazon and order the one for your car it's around $20. Then search on youtube how to program Nissan key fob (I think it's a 350z in the video). It takes like 30 seconds to do.

This is exactly what I did and I've had it for 2 years and it still works great.
