key fob/hazard light question.....

This just came to mind after seeing a late model one do this at work. I did check the manual, and this has me stumped, unless i am over looking something or there was a change for 2012?

When unlocking with the fob, the interior light does come on as it should. but should the hazard lights flash once also? the manual states they should. mine do not. on lock, they do flash twice, as they should. i do have the horn deleted. but this should have nothing to do with it.

I was not quite awake I guess with my first post about mine not cause I actually looked this morning and my hazard lights do flash...mine is a 2002.

EDIT: Dealer is just down the street, so i found out they all dont do this on unlock. just twice on lock. Dont know what year it was deleated, but case solved.

Though i would play around, and found this out...

1. If i activate the horn beep function, the flashers will indeed flash once on unlock. And like normal, the horn beep and two flashes on lock.

2. Deactivate the horn beep function, and no flash on unlock, and the normal two flashes on lock.

With the horn delete on, its like incognito mode, as to not alert people that you vehicle is being unlocked. Its kind of a safety feature.

see same thing for me. idk how i did it but sometimes my lights flash when i unlock it and the horn beeps when i lock it, and sometimes it does nothing when i unlock it and only flashes when i lock it. idk what I do to my key fob for it to be all goofy but yeah. 2011 gen 2

and fyi second gens don't have clown horns lol. they're pretty loud

To change that setting all you do is push and hold the lock and unlock button down at the same time for a few seconds until the lights flash.
