I hope it is my shocks?

Just bought this 2002 X/2wd/V6/5 speed used and 121K. I notice when I go over bumps (not washboard type), more like rolling "humps", the X seems to wants to crawfish - the front wants to go left and the rear wants to go right, when it should go straight! I am sure there is a term for this but I don't know it. When I go around corners it seems to track flat so I am discounting sway bar/links. I am guessing it is shocks - and there is my question. Inspection of them does not reveal and leaking but that is not always a sign of bad shocks. I am guessing the shocks are original. Tire pressure is to standards. Any ideas out there? We use the X for normal transportation, bought it for the room, hauling groceries & the dependability of Nissan as a brand. Thanks in advance for any suggestions.

Yeah I would start with shocks. If you are going to do it.. Go bilstiens.. You will pay a little more but you will get 50k out there too ..

Could be shocks. Check your tie rods also. I agree and go with bilsteins especially if you off-road if you don't go with a slightly cheaper brand like rancho or the likes. I think if your shocks are bad you'd bottom out and not have the steering go wonky.

I'm gonna echo Dave (drb).. I believe it does sound like shocks as well and while you're forking out the money for them.. Go Bilsteins. You won't be disappointed!

Tagging on, I love my bils. Ride is very nice with them.

Sent through an exorcism and salt flavored shotgun shells.
