How to change your diesel's water pump and radiator

This is a how to for changing a TD27T water pump and the 1 core radiator for the 2 core version.

FYI if you have gone this far... go ahead and buy a separate transmission cooler, and thermostat if you haven't already.

Here is what we are installing and replacing:

1. Drain your cooling system, Disconnect the upper and lower radiator hose (transmission cooler lines too if you have em), remove the fan shroud and take the 2 10MM nuts holding the top bracket mounts.... and take it out.

2. Remove the fan blade from the viscus clutch, there are 4 10MM bolts retaining them.

3. Remove the power steering, and alternator belts

4.Remove the 5 12MM bolts and the 2 14MM nuts holding the water pump on and remove it with the gasket.... clean/buff the crap inside and the surface.

5.Install new gasket, water pump and hardware

6. Turn on crap light and install/adjust the alt, ps belts

7.IMPORTANT!!! Install Fan blade onto clutch now, and throw the fan shroud around it. (it will not fit if you install it last.)

8.Install New Radiator, connect upper/lower hoses, trans cooler hoses, Top brackets, and bolt on fan shroud.

9. Fill with 2 gallons of 50/50.

I know, eventually, it may be of use to someone else, but at the moment, I think you've the only TD27 powered Xterra on Earth. Which is supremely BAD-ASS.
