Ok, the mod bug is back. I need to do something ti the X soon. Now i don't wheel my X that often, just mainly back roads and dirt/gravel roads. Other than that, its a pavement queen:)

List of mods im looking at, and tell me what the best one I should do. Theres a reason for every mod if that matters....

2" Body lift - I want to be able to run 33s
Rock sliders - I want to get a hi-Lift jack and be able to use it
Front bumper - Be able to mount a a winch so i wont be so scared to wheel my 2wd

Im leaning towards the Body Lift because both the bumper and sliders need to be raised if i do a body lift later down the road. But i have 265/75/16 tires and i dont want to be stuck with small tires for a while with a 2" body lift.

Speaking as another 2wd, I would say body lift and some decent at tires. So far I haven't had any problems with getting stuck.......so far..lol.

Sliders are great protection but it doesn't sound like your planning on going anywhere where they're a necessity. Mine have yet to make contact with anything, but the bedlining on them collects mud really well...lol.

I have a winch waiting on me to get a bumper....it will be good for piece of mind, but I don't plan on wheeling unless I'm with a group and I have straps so I doubt it will see much use if any...at least for recovery purposes.

Sorry for getting so wordy.... In summary, I would go for the body lift which is by far the cheapest and go ahead a spring for the 33". Tires seem to be the most important thing for light offroading.

Tires will keep you from getting stuck more so than other things...

My sliders have also never touched a thing...just good at collecting mud

Alrighty.... Looks like the vote led to a Body Lift :)

Ill be doing the body lift sometime soon as im going to need new tires in the next 5-8k miles.
