Alohas. I've been looking for like minded enthusiasts forum for the first gen frontiers and xterras. Currently own a 03 frontier I bought for $200 and for how long I've had it. Its time to reach out on more tips and tricks and mods. I'm new here lol.

Nice! What's the wheeling like over there? I never made it to the Big Island when I was there. Stayed on O'ahu the whole time.
I went out only a few times with my parents. With my 2wd Frontier I havent been out on the hunting trails or mana road. Trying to look into getting a 4x4 other than the Armada stock height that made it down Waipio Valley to the beach. Not too bad as long as you know what your doing.

I grew up with 2wd farm trucks in the mountains of SW Virginia. A little persistence and proper tire placement are worth a lot.

I don't think they make an inexpensive locker for the H233B axle. That would be a huge improvement for your 2wd. But you do have the option to swap to a 4x4 trans with t-case and SAS it!

Welcome from the river swamp lands of SC. Been to the several of the islands in years past and remember some very nice areas to wheel. I hope “land closure” issues has not ruined it. Do heed TerryD’s wisdom regarding tire placement. It’s so true within inches at times. Aloha.

Well I got alot of work on my $200 daily. Like solving the 02 sensors. If I could turn into like a prerunner look and work the LSD in the rear and maybe do a total chaos if it exists still or calmini straight axle swap kit. Just need a front axle. I have a huge mod list that I've done so far. Exhaust is done but I bought a used tip to use on it. Happy with my flowmaster 40 and pacesetter headers.
