hefty gas tank skid install issue

attempted to install my hefty gas tank skid today and ran into a little issue, the rear drive shaft bracket doesn't line up properly. does anybody have a skid that has been removed for what ever reason, or hasn't been installed yet post a pic of how that bracket is bent or attached ?

Removed and re-attached this bracket on another rig last night in Moab. Had to push back and down on the bracket with the bottom two bolts in to get the top hole to line up. Took some wrangling. Had to cut a chunk off the bracket with a cutoff wheel because it was rubbing on the nuts on the drive shaft flange. POS.

Yeah, when we moved a set of skids from one rig to another - it was that gas tank that got us. Was a hefty set too.

If I remember correctly, we were able to get everything lined up after sometime. We had to do something like - loosen a bolt, pull the bracket, tighten a little, jacked up on the skid to apply pressure, pull the other bracket, tighten a little. It was a pretty interesting dance but after sometime it was all connected correctly.

Thanks guys, I also emailed Hefty to see if the bracket was made correctly. quick responce and Chris states that the bracked apears properly made from the pictures I sent him. ran out of daylight last night so I am going to give it another try tonight and hopefully I don;t need to grind down too much

If I remember correctly, just about every hefty gas skid is this way. Not sure why they haven't fixed it but seems to be a common problem.

I've heard lots about the gas tank hitting the DS issue, I have the disk grinder already prepped with a new cutting wheel and a grinding wheel on stand by. my issue is attaching it from the skid to the truck it just didn't line up properly. going to give it another try tonight and see where that gets me
