Grinding sound drivers rear

So for the last couple days I have been getting a grinding sound, like metal on metal. I thought it was the rear brakes as a whole but after pulling off both sides there is plenty of meat on all four shoes. And no abnormal wear on the drums.

When I was taking off the wheels the lugs were tighter then normal. It took a while to get some of them off. I was reading around on some forums that over tightening could cause warping and possible noise.

I sprayed down the backing plate with brake cleaner but have yet to drive it since doing the maintenance.

I was thinking it might be a wheel bearing, but it only does it under braking. A wheel bearing would/could hum the whole time correct?

Would low gear oil cause a sound as well?

I had a crazy loud noise recently after a trip and thought I toasted a bearing. On the drive home I heard a final screech followed by a rock bouncing off the undercarriage of the truck, then no more noise. I'd try driving again and see if your maintenance corrected the problem. If not..... I do have a complete front end brake package listed in the "for sale" section.

I do need to replace some studs in the front. I might as well replace the rotors and the pads again.

I did drive the car shortly after posting the OP. It was still there but not as often or loud.

Do you think it could be cause the car is sagging in the rear a little more? I did do the PML in the front but never got around to the rear. Could the "Cali Stance/Pre Runner) look be causing the issue?

After speaking to a mechanic about it he recommended busting up the glaze on the shoes. He told me to take fine grout sand paper and rub it over the shoes in the direction of travel and do this on the drums to.
