Funky transmission movement on acceleration?

So in the last month or so my transmission has started to move about an inch to the right everytime I accelerate in first gear. It's wierding me out. Now to add to this when I get into the fuel turning left I get a nasty grinding noise out of the front end. I think it's the CVs but my buddies are saying clutch grinding. Does anybody have any ideas based on this as to what it might be?

I can possibly get a video of the noise on acceleration, but the transmission movement is just a movement, so what is it?

Also, it is worth mentioning that my right rear shock is sheared off, so it handles funky. Could they be related?

Thanks for reading ya'll!

ummm...not sure what to say about the shock, other than fix it...

as to tranny movement, Check your driver's side motor mount - that would be first guess.

Get a Rugged Rocks motor mount. Yours may not be busted yet, but it is close. The grinding could be the fan hitting the shroud when the motor moves.

Check your motor mounts, and tranny mounts. There is no way for the tranny to move independantly from the motor. They are bolted together, and it it was moving without the motor you would have much bigger problems and would not be driving.

Ok, I had read about the motor mounts but I wasn't thinking that would be me. Right well I guess it's time for a shopping thing. Alos as for no shock. All I get is mad axle hop turning left
