Hi all. Sorry for my first post being a classified ad. Poor manners I know.

LOL allow me to make up for it by offering you a phenomenal deal on this shiny used Xterra!

Ahem, so I sold my boat (darn expensive time consuming kid), so I no longer need a boat tower. I've been driving a new Civic since July so it's time to get rid of the truck.

2007. I'm the original owner. Bought it new from Mike Barney Nissan just outside of Buffalo NY, where I still live. Link.

It's got 63k miles on it. About 2000 miles on new Firestone Destination A/T's. It's great in the snow.

Tow hitch and harness. Only ever used it to tow my 18' boat and a trailer full of kitchen cabinets once. (Not at the same time.)

The clutch has plenty of travel left. Nobody learned to drive stick on it.

Otherwise it's a stock Xterra, so to avoid tarnishing my stellar e-reputation, here is every issue I know of it.
-I replaced the blower motor once but it sounds like the replacement is crapping out. Cheap and easy fix (3 screws under the dash.)
-I left the parking brake on and drove it once. Then the rear calipers started leaking. So I replaced the rear calipers with new OEM from Courtesy Parts. So they should be good now but I still smell brake fluid so I'm not positive. Just full disclosure here.
-There are a couple of rust spots on the rear steel bumper where I backed into the boat trailer tongue and scratched the bumper. All Xterras get premature rusticulation on the back pumper. Shame on Nissan. No rust anywhere else.

Otherwise it's in really good shape. Mechanically it's what you'd expect from a Nissan. No problems, nor any signs of problems. I fully intended to put 200k on this truck, but life has other plans for me. I need the cash out of it and I just don't need a truck right now. It gets a solid 17-19 mpg. Never more or less no matter how easy or hard you are on the go pedal. Speaking of the go pedal, the VQ40 is awesome. For a non-sport SUV it's pretty fun to drive. You can roach 3rd if you hammer the 2-3 upshift.

Comes with carpeted summer floormats and a nice set of heavy rubber OEM Nissan winter mats.

I've got it listed at $14,900 on Craigslist but it's not worth that. Can't blame a girl for trying. I'm looking to get about $13,000 out of it.

I think people will appreciate your honesty. Good luck with selling!

OH and you can easily fix your rear bumper rust issue with a little rattle can paint. You don't even have to take the bumper off. Just mask everything off really well and paint as you normally would. That would update the look of the rear very quickly for selling.

Yeah I figured on a national forum I'd come out with everything in case someone is considering traveling for it. One way or another this thing will sell. No need to hide stuff.

I treated the rust yesterday with POR15. I'm going to get some gray paint on it and get a gasket on that transmission drain plug tonight before the weather turns again in sunny Buffalo. It's in the 60's now, but going to drop into the 30's tonight and probably won't see above 45 again till spring.

Winter is coming! Someone's got to need a 4x4 beast with fresh A/T tires and a stick!

How did it fare during SANDY?

Buffalo just got a little wind and rain. I slept through Sandy.

Updated the OP. I fixed the tranny oil drain plug leak last night. My fingers weren't fast enough to slip in the gasket without dumping the oil so there's fresh tranny oil too.

Also POR-15'd the cancer spots on the rear bumper and rattle canned the two spots that were bigger than a penny.

if I had 12K to throw at one, I certainly would...I wanted a manual instead of an auto when I bought mine....good luck with the sale! (or, you could keep it and have a nice wheeling rig ;) )
