Easy?!? HA! Have you seen the back of those plugs?
Looks like a breeze, right?

You can get them with loose pins, but shoving 24 of those things (I've done that before) into a shell isn't exactly easy.Easy?!? HA! Have you seen the back of those plugs?

This is what I've used before

It is just an empty shell, so you'll need pins (http://www.alliedelec.com/search/productdetail.aspx?SKU=70083346) and sockets (http://www.alliedelec.com/search/productdetail.aspx?SKU=70083349).
Now, the pinouts...
Mirrors - 3 pins (LR / UD / Common)
Speaker - 2 pins (+, -)
Tweeter - 2 pins (+, -)
Window motor - 2 pins (reversible B+/Gnd) (actually connects directly to control panel)
Door control panel - 16 pins
(LR A

Lock actuator - 4 pins (Lock / -- / Lock / -- )
Lock cylinder - 3 pins (Lock / Gnd / Unlock)
So, actual wire count is down at 26. That's still a fair amount to deal with in all honesty.
Yeah, just freaking huge. The one I linked is 2 1/8" across and 1 1/2" deep. That doesn't include any strain relief either.Ah you just beat me to it.. yeah I agree the empty shell and pins/sockets are the way to go.

Never said they were inexpensive.Correct me if I'm wrong but.. Wouldn't I have over $200 in just the 2 plugs?

Alright guys. I talked with Jessee Sirois on the "Xterra Off-Road" group on FB. He has power doors and this is what he did for his...
Quote: "Originally I just cut the wires and tucked them away. Bring that everything in my truck is automatic I had to fix it. Recently I got the door plug out of my buddies zj, and now it just one disconnect. I will be adding quick release for the hinges as well in a month or so. These are what the plugs look like. Because of how the holes in our door don't line up and how thick the bunch of wires is, you'll need to run it longer and tuck excess in fender. If I remember correctly I think the plug is like one or two wires short, so I just chose not to connect certain things I.e window lock and back windows since I dont have back seats anymore".
I like the look of those plugs.....I'm glad you were able to talk to him about that.
It's actually a very easy thing to do, everyone is just over thinking it really. I have done this like 10 different times on buddies rides. It's hard to explain the right way to do it and even harder to put it in writing especially when your like me and ADHD and do it by muscle memory and hands on vs trying to teach or show explain it
