Okay I have a dvd monitor where my dome light originally was but I need to reset the memory of the dome light so it can be set to on all the time instead of on when the door opens. Help please

When you pulled the dome light was there 2 wires or 3?
If there are two wires one should be wired to the door switch (pos) and the other wire should be ground. If this is the case the only way to change this would be a lot of work. Easiest route would be to run a new power wire. Either independent of ignition with a ignition relay depending on if you want it to run with the power on or off.

If there are three wires. one should be wired to the door switch (pos), one to the ground, and the third should be wired to the ignition power. The ignition power is the one you will want to use. for the DVD player.

Basically without running any new wires you can only do what the dome light could do. If it only turned on due to the doors this is it without messing with circuit boards and relays. If you could flip the switch which I don't know much about first gens and have it stay on then that is the wire for the DVD player you should use. Now will the default wire be able to supply enough power that is a whole different story that someone much more knowledgeable then me will have to tell you.

B+ is always supplied to the light. The ground is what is switched -- either via the other wire present to the door sensors or via a body screw present there for full time ground.

Well, B+ is 'full time' as long as you don't leave a door open for 30 minutes.

The 12v is hot all the time. Check the wires to each other with a volt meter and the doors open. If you get -12v, then you have the red lead on ground. My schematic said red/green was 12v, but that may be different on the 2002.

Do you have the map lights at the front? If so, those are constant power and it'd be an easy fish to run a wire back to the other light.

You also do not have to pull the liner all of the way out to run the wire, only the a pillar and grab handle on the side that you want to run the wire.
