I'm replacing shot rubber bits around the engine on my '04. I"m not paying 20-30 dollars a piece for the OEM two elbows and two bits of hose. I measured and it looks like a 5/8" ID hose will fit. Problem is I cannot find oil resistant molded elbows or for that matter even straight hose. I am very tempted to use the molded heater hose that is cheap and readily available. Problem is I know that the oil mist will attack the EPDM rubber coolant hose and I don't want to be a temporary repair that I have to fix again in a year or two. Does anyone know where I can find oil resistant molded elbows or should I just say screw it and use the heater hose?
