Guy and Gals, I've been wanting a motorcycle since I build my first mini bike, however, I'm not the right size for one and have never riden one. Need something like a Gold Wing but w/o the price tag and DO NOT want a crotch rocket. Then the CAN-AM showed up. Thoughts, comments on it. I have my opinion, but would like yours.

The 3 wheeled thing? They require a shinny new dime like the Goldwing..

If you can ride a bike you can ride a motorcycle.. Best way to find a bike around my area is to take a course on riding.. The shop that does it here
has a few different style to learn on. Gives you a better idea on what you may be comfortable with.

No, its not a motorcycle. Thats why you don't need a MC license to drive one. I think it might be fun for a day but for that kind of money I would rather buy a used convertible.

I don't like the lumbering slump hard leaning that I have to do with a snowmobile or atv so I'm sure I wouldn't care for it much.

Much the same as you. Rode dirt bikes minibikes as a kid. Yet unsure of what I want . Just want to relive the fun I once had. Had my eye a suzuki v strom for a while.

Where i'm from you have to have one to drive one.. it's not a car.

I was wrong ( sort of) you only need a MC license in 47 states to drive it. Deleware and CA only require a car license and Washington requires a three Wheeler permit. Can Am has been trying to get it classified as a roadster instead of a MC.

Well here's my opinion on whether it's a motorcycle or a car: Cars have seat belts. You drive in a car; you ride on a bike. By that definition, it IS a motorcycle.

Now you just have to decide whether or not you look like a wanker on one. :D

motorcycle, yes.. handles like a three-wheeler, yes.. horrible on corners and the "extra" tire up front provides you with a false sense of security, which lets the driver think stable at cornering when in reality they are not.. that is part of the reason why three-wheelers got outlawed also.. but to each his own... i LOVE my vrod...

I’ve had a Cam-Am pull up next to me while driving my Xterra and did not notice him until I spotted the top of his helmet through my passenger side window. I could not tell what he was riding until he pulled away. The fact that I, a guy that looks for bikers while I drive, did not see him seemed kind of dangerous to me.
I’ve never been on one and wouldn’t mind trying one out but that said I don’t think I’d ever buy one.
I’ve also heard that they do not handle well and if that’s the case I might get bored riding it after a short time. My FatBoy is not as nimble as the sport bikes I’ve owned in the past but there’s something else going on when I ride a Harley that I’m not going to try to explain. This might be true with a Cam-Am as well. $32K seems a bit much for me to find out.
I think it’s a motorcycle, just not for me.
