Battery drain

I have had a drain for a while now. But finally trying to find it. With engine off i have a 11.63v draw, should be around 6v draw I was told. The starter, alternator and any accessories are disconnected and I pulled every fuse in both fuse panels. And I still never dropped bellow 10.73v draw. Does any one have any ideas as where to check next for this draw.

Voltage is not a 'draw', so with everything off, 11.63 is low, probably at the point you want to replace it, but not to terribly horrible. What you need to do is put your meter in Amp mode, and place it between the negative cable and the negative post on the battery. That will give you actual current draw, which is what you're concerned about here.

If you shut your engine off and immediately (at any time within 15 minutes of shutoff, actually) read 11.63 volts on your battery, you need a new battery, or you need to make sure your alternator is putting out sufficient voltage.

And I'm not talking about draw, I'm talking about actual resting voltage on your battery.

*edit* sorry specific gravity got cut off, if you have a wet cell that's a good test to perform as well.

2 different mechanics told me to test between the negative post and cable for voltage, possibly just wrong wording. Will re do the test tonight checking amps. The battery sits at 12.34v and charges at the low to mid 13v when at idle. The gravity check is good, in the green range on the tester. Will keep looking.
