Howdy y’all! This is my 03 SE! I’m still pretty new to the xterra world, but I’ve had several vehicles in my day and so far this is my favorite!!!I picked it up a couple months ago for $1000 because the guy couldn’t keep it running. I checked it out and the alternator was bad. I replaced that for $80 and had her back on the road running like a champ.
Since then I’ve replaced all four shocks with Monroe’s and all four sway bar link bolts with moog parts. She handles like a dream.
I’ve also mounted a couple of led pods to the brush guard!
They are pretty bright!
It also had a rusted out muffler, so I got a cheap cherry bomb turbo and welded up in there. Sounds so much better.
Other than that so far, I’ve only changed the front brakes and oil.
My next upgrade that I would like to do is put some good year authorities all the way around it. Hoping I can get that done in January.
I also have a cobra 25 cb I need to install. Just haven’t had much time this week.
I would really like to delete the factory side bars, but the only issue I have with that is my kids use them to climb into the back seat lol. They might just have to get used to jumping!!!
