Ive been neglecting to change the ATF in my trans for a little bit ( not time, or something always comes up). I am planning a camping trip in a couple months and now descided that fresh fluid is a must. Now I've read the how to that rook wrote up to perfomr the PMF ( Both on here and on TNX) and if i did this myself just for fluid alone it would cost me around $150 Canadian for Matic S. going to the sealership would cost me $250 for a drain a fill and 5 liters ( about half the fluid required) and if i go the the Great Canadian Oil change place ( chain quick lube shop http://www.gcocltd.com/services/service3) they say that they can do a flush for $119 plus aplicable taxes, they use a Valvoline ATF that is supposed to be compatible with Matic S.
My conscers is that they use one of those transmision flush machines. I can't remember were I read this but I though that it wasn't recomended to use these.
any advice ???
the only real reason I am not doing the PMF is cause I don't have a place to work on the X that is level enough and I am not a fan of crawling under the X when it;s sitting on the road.
