Hey Everyone,

Brand new to the forums here, sorry if this has been mentioned before, but i'm moving to Puerto Rico in March of 2022. I just bought a 2003 Nissan Xterra XE and she's going to be used for camping, off roading trails, beach driving, and as my daily driver. The roads in PR can be a bit rough, a lot of rain and pools to go through, and also there's a mountain side to the island so it's steep climbs and windy turns. I can't see myself as like a full time boulder crawler. I just want to set my truck up for success on the island, so anything ya'll would recommend in particular based off of island life?

Currently my truck has the front bumper armor, the guy who had it before me put that on. That's about it for right now but it's also in the shop for a check up since I literally just bought it. I know the gas tank, brake calibers, and tail pipe need to be replaced/fixed. Any advice for someone with a new to me xterra greatly appreciated.

I’m not a first gen guy and I’m not familiar with PR but if your X has any common parts that might be more rare there, it may be worth taking some with you so you don’t have to worry about extended shipping times.

The Crabby1 is one the money. PR is a beautiful Island with the S west and W side seems less crowded. Good general maintenance & tires. Dependability would be my main objective.
