Bought this truck originally to be a temporary wheeler while I did an SAS on my pathfinder, but that truck is too clean so this rig will get that treatment, eventually...

My current list of mods:

Installed:

AC 3" lift (UCA's, 3 leaf AAL, Rancho 9000XL shocks, SAW 30% T-bars)
2" Body lift (no idea on brand lol)
Rancho RS7000 Steering stabilizer kit
Magnaflow cat back exhaust
Thor Mod (Lexan window through wind fairing)
Extended Rear diff breather
Custom Lobo Rack
BenderBuilt Sliders, and rear bumper/tire carrier (some fab guy in a local club that no longer exists apparently)
Calmini Winch Bumper W/front skid
10k winch
Cobra 40 Channel CB
HooHaa (Grassroots) Centrelink
AC Heavy duty tie rod adjusters
33x12.5x15 Cooper discoverer STT Pro tires
U-bolt skids
Shrockworks skid plate set
PandP light cage (not yet installed)

Wants:
Lockers
SAS
Roof top tent (...maybe)

Some pics, of course! Some are older but it hasn't changed much other than the tires.

Thanks guys. It needs a little tlc before this season, leaf spring bushings are shot in the rear and I've got to do something about the revolver shackles sitting against the leaf springs. Anyone else here use them?

I do believe the shackle.is pointed the wrong direction. If you raise the body, can you get it to point the opposite direction? If not, try taking it off and flipping it around.

I'll try that once I get it out of storage, they came with the truck so I have no idea what they are supposed to look like lol

They're in the correct direction.

Swap them for some solid shackles IMHO. I've never trusted those Revolvers.

Honestly I think that's the route I'm going to take. Apparently they are also the reason for the harsh yet oddly loose feeling ride in the rear.

They were big news in the early 2ks. But I never thought they were a good idea. Seemed like it would cause uncontrolled suspension unloading in the rear when going off obstacles and looked like a good way to start a flop or endo.

Yeah, there are some obstacles on the trail that I will just take the bypass if it involves going down a steep incline. I've been wheeling since the mid 2000s but I mainly drove wd21 pathfinders which have a coil spring 5 link rear end.

Of course the photo tax:

Got rid of this rig after fixing the rusted out frame 14 times and 500,000km on the clock. But the one I replaced it with is too clean to wheel really so here I am with the Xterra!

Fixed the leaking sunroof once and for all. It had been making the headliner damp for a while but after the torrential rain we had here a few weeks ago, the damn passenger seat had a lake in it! Found the drain on the drivers side front clogged and the passengers side had fallen off. Got it all back together and took this time to clean out the bloody tray. 20 years of grime in there, much better now:

Yes I also cut off the old seat cover haha

The headliner itself needs to be redone so I just plopped it back in for now... A winter project perhaps.

Also re routed the hose since it filled the cavity with moisture and rotted out part of the bottom of the pillar. And I welded in a new piece of sheet metal that we formed to fit.

As you can see I slid the drain hose inside some 3/8" fuel hose and routed it out to the ground. The factory line is a hard plastic I cut off the bottom inch of it due to being full of fossilzed mud.

Also fitted new front shocks, the drivers front was blown out and had been for quite some time...

There's a clicking type noise coming from the front end that I can't track down. Thought it was the shocks, but it is still doing it after replacing them although it is less so now that there's less wheel hop over bumps.

Pretty much as ready for the long weekend trip, just have to pack now!

Hey man, I saw you have the revolver shackles. I know that someone here said that you have them installed correctly, but I put them on my old 04' and I had them the opposite way. Never had any interference. I'm selling the 04' currently but if you want, I can grab a picture of the revolvers so you can see.

Sure, if you have a moment that would be cool. I'm still contemplating getting rid of them all together but the articulation is pretty good from it with them. I'm coming from a coil link wd21 pathfinder so nothing compares to that kind of set up lol

Do you still have your truck?

The revolver shackles haven't killed me yet but planning on doing a leaf spring bushing refresh in the spring (she's parked for the winter) and might just order up some regular shackles.
