I searched and didn’t see a thread on this, so I thought I’d post one. Up until about a year ago, I didn’t know what this was and even then didn’t have a good understanding of it. After seeing some YouTube demos of it in action, I decided to purposely try it out and it helped quite a bit. For anybody else newer to off-roading Nissans like me, ABLS is where braking is automatically applied to a spinning wheel to transfer power over to the tire with traction.

On the Union Springs side of Flagpole Knob there are a couple spots where I was able to use it and climb right up and over some rocks where not all my wheels were on the ground. Not as smooth as @Pro-4K went over with his locker, but not as difficult as my prior attempts either.

What I found engaged it consistently for me was going really slow and keeping exact steady pressure on the gas pedal at low RPMs. If I fluctuated by letting go or pressing harder on the gas pedal it seemed to disengage. Obviously touching the brake would kill it as well. But on obstacles where I would previously back up and come harder with more momentum, I was able to just slowly apply gas and it would eventually grab and crawl right up.

In my case, my left front brake pads are super squeaky, and that actually helped me know exactly when/how it was working because that tire was spinning and when only using the gas pedal I could hear the brakes intermittently.

Anyhow, pretty cool system that works pretty well. Just posting in case anybody searching for info comes across it.
