ABS, SLIP, and VDC lights?

ABS, SLIP, VDC lights came on the other day and sometimes go off. if i make a sharp turn when they are off the ABS does its thing with the weird noise and all and the lights shoot back on. Curious to see if anyone else has had this problem before and know the diagnosis. I was thinking sensor or some wire that got messed up during wheeling and needs replaced? idunnoo

Check around all your ABS plugs and sensors. You may have a wire nicked enough to sometimes break contact. Is the check engine light on too?

Agreed sounds like sensor. Check connections and wires.

The engine light is not on. The one day I made sure I hit a bump pretty hard and it the lights went off again so idk what’s going on

Same problem I had. Turned out to be two things. Drivers side front hub was failing and I had a bad wiring connection in the passenger side front.

Nicccceeee. How did you know you had a bad wiring connection

I took the passenger side hub off and the wires just fell apart at the frame. At some point someone had replaced that hub but didn't bother to properly disconnect the wires. They just cut the plug off and twisted the wires together.

I used a few more colorful words than that. But basically, yeah.

Ended up snagging a new plug off of a junk yard truck and soldering everything the right way.

just got into it I definitely just need a whole new wheel bearing assembly.. probably explains shaking steering wheel too

..and prolly have a chewed up ABS sensor too
