I guess trekking through snow payed a toll.

I've heard that it can be a cracked wire, or loose wire. Anyone have any suggestions?

I found somewhat similar topics, but nothing to fix or how to fix the problem.

I just posted about this in TGPWS 2 weeks ago...

Mine was staying on but just went off right after I backed out of my space the next day.....

Could be...could be... Could be anything. Pull a code and that'll give us the next step. To do that, you have to plug a wire into your obd port, and turn the key to On

abscoder.jpg

Top side is the more narrow part of the connector; bottom wire is 4 to the left. This will make your abs light blink the code. Long blinks are 10's, shorts are 1's. LLLLLSS would be 52. If there are multiple codes, there'll be a pause between them. LLSSS pause LLSSSSSS would be 23 and 26. If you don't catch them all the first time, they'll repeat.

Oh, and mine is usually a bad ground.

Would it give the code to if you have a plug in?

I didn't bother using mine but I have a cheap blutooth dongle that plugs into my OBD2 port and wireless to my phone.....I might give that a try if it happens again.

Only if you have a Consult or uber expensive SnapOn can you pull a code via a reader, as it's not an OBD code. Only way for us mere mortals to get it is via this wire/blink code method.

Ah ok.....I didn't know they were from somewhere else. But this is still a handy little thing to have when the CEL comes on.

Hey fellas thanks for the quick reply. But as I was driving to school this morning, the light went off and has been gone since. I'm going to subscribe to the topic forum just for future updates.
