Well the question is pretty simple. Since I'm going to be switching over to a M205, would you run 4.1 gears or 4.56 with 35's the max size I would run are 36's? and why. I'm thinking 4.56 since the lower gearing and will be more in the power band more of the time.

I would agree with that. When the day comes that I SAS my truck, I am planning on running 5.38s over 5.13s to turn my 35s. I am not trying to drag race my truck, or race anything. I want a super flexy, soft suspension, overland vehicle that I can count of in the toughest of times.

aka I like the lower gear ratio, more power more often.

Is your truck your DD? A lower gear ratio will lower your maximum speed. If you go 4.5's you may not be able to get on the interstate and hit the top speed. Personally I would go 4.10s so I can still haul ass on the highway, haha!

Currently my truck is not my DD even though I do drive it sometimes. I have a work provided truck and own a motorcycle. Once my job takes my work provided truck they will give me a vehicle allowance so I can buy a small car!

Think of it this way,
Going from say a 3.54 to a 4.10 on 35's puts you back at stock.
If you want to accomodate for 36" tires and consider the additional rotating mass and including extra weight from skids, bumpers, spares tire(s) recovery equipment, etc.. or if you tow fairly often.. go with the 4.56
