yeah. It's for the Chinese market. Apparently Nissan thinks we all want Rogues to go to the mall in. Unfortunately the market shows that (Rogues everywhere around here)

It's funny though. The 4Runner had one of its best sales years after the X was discontinued. As if the North American public freaked out and thought all 4wd capable body on frame compact SUVs were dissappearing and with only one non-jeep option, they all went crazy and bought 4Runners. That tells you that the market isn't dead.

It would have helped if Nissan didn't leave the Xterra to wither and die. They invested no money to promote the model. I can recall seeing 4Runner commercials in the recent past. It is possible to build and sell a body on frame mid size SUV even with the EPA regs. Jeep and Toyota are doing it.

Is it true that Ford is not producing cars, only trucks & SUV’s? In the next year or two? That should say something I would think.
