Seems like a common issue after performing said mod...the steering on your Xterra is jacked! Mine was binding (very stiff) turning to the left. Turning right was fine. Here is the solution that worked for me:
You should have loosened this bolt (driver's side front wheel well) BEFORE your BL install.
..this pic is post install, but it should get you the general area:
Do NOT have the bolt under the hood (above) loosened and perform the following step!
This is the bolt you need to loosen (Inside, under the driver's side dash...right above the blue plastic thing), THEN turn the steering wheel fully 6 times/6 times (right/left), then center your wheel and tighten this bolt back up.
Hopefully your steering is back to normal!
