Honestly the main problem is the sucky 3.3. I would like to zip around a bit better. I understand its not a fast vehicle, its meant more for offroading. But after ECXC I realized I might not be into that STYLE of offroading that much (the rocks and what not), and maybe I could switch to the silverado for the power. I wanted to do a ls swap or something but I definitely can't afford it anytime soon. The truck I could swing if I sell Roxanne. Which I don't want to do. But I am considering.
Define “that style”. Don’t like rocks? IMO it’s better than mud. ufck mud. It gets in everything and usually smells. What are you looking for? Overland camping? I again say make a pros / cons / wants / needs list.

As for a 1g 3.3, is it under powered? Yes. But holy schnikies is that drive train bullet proof. You try to drive an early 2000 Chevy over anything you did at Rausch, kiss that drive train goodbye.

Save up and buy the truck TOO! I originally had a 1998 XJ 2dr that I LOVED but sold it and got a 2000 OBS K2500 CCSB. I love my truck but missed my little Jeep for exploring the mountains and such. Wound up getting the Xterra as a replacement some years down the road.

With the beating I took selling the XJ, I'd have been better off just saving up and buying the truck outright.

Now I have both for different reasons and I'm happy!

They'd promote those guys where I work, or let them take a step up job with a raise. I however get f'd out of training because I'm "too valuable in my area"... FFS

I had to tell one of my guys tonight that he is probably going to get a write up because of two people doing a half ass job. I told him it's not really his fault but he ran 50 parts before catching the problems so he is going to be included in it. Really if he checked his parts better he would have only ran maybe two or three before I pulled him off the job.

I don't mind a good day's work around here. It's when I'm doing 4 guy's jobs because they can't or won't and they're making more money in a step up job wearing crocs all day long watching youtube...

I would love to have both! When I was looking for a vehicle I had a hard time picking between a silverado, wrangler, and an xterra. Now I want like 50 different vehicles. I am not sure if I could afford to own two vehicles though. I need a better job.
