I have the same tank and mounted it to the inside of the stock rear bumper. Not sure if it would work for you, but just an idea.
Very nice. Any rub when flexed out and turning?
If it would fit, you could mount it off the side of the cargo area directly behind the wheel hump. its a great out of the way spot and you can coil your hose and stuff right there and stick it behind.I'm thinking about just sitting it in right in between the wheel well and my storage box. I'd like to mount it a little more permanently/securely but I think that'll work fine.

Basically where your zipties are sitting. I have my ARB twin mounted there. I can find a picture if you want.
Is there anyway it would fit in that void under the speaker that way it is compleat out of the way and is protected a bit from the things that get tossed in the back. You could even run a line from the intake valve up to under the seat for a filter that is easily accessible.

Can you mount it to the top of the wheel well? Behind the plastic? That where I plan to mount mine but I don't remember if there's enough room in the 1st gen.
Do you have anything in the compartment for the stock spare tire jack? If not it may fit

My lock box that I have there is mutch smaller than a compressor and it just bearly fitsYeah I'll check that out as well. That could work if it doesn't sit up too high and have a bump in the carpet haha
That's another good possibility. Behind the plastic completely? I don't know if it would fit there either. I could maybe sit it on top of the wheel well and trim some plastic to give more room in the cargo area.
Yeah. Take the interior panel off of the passenger side, there's a hole that goes up over the top of the wheel well. You should be able to bolt it down through the wheel well and then use some silicone to seal up the holes.

Pretty good progress today. I have all of the plumbing done, with the exception of the hard line that will go to the pressure switch because I didn't have the right fitting. I have my quick connect mounted to the driver side P&P rear corner piece. I have over half of the wiring done including the main power wire I have routed to my Blue Sea. I still need to get power for my switch which I'll probably run along the same route and tap into a different circuit.
All that's left is to finish up the wiring and secure and protect the wires running the length of the X. And then just mounting the gauge and buttoning everything up.
I checked out that hole to mount the compressor to the wheel well but it wasn't big enough for the compressor to fit in and it would be pretty hard to get in there and mount it up. So, for now anyway, I'm going to just sit the compressor against the passenger wheel and the back of the rear seats. And my storage box is going to sit right beside it on the other side. Depending on how I like it, this may just be temporary. I'm thinking about maybe mounting the compressor inside on top of the wheel well with some sort of plate maybe. We'll see.
Hey are you in Co right now?
