It's truly a shame because once you reach that level of celebrity there is so much you can do in retirement. So many charity events to get involved in, school functions to speak at, even pick up football games with people on school campuses. If it's a matter of feeling needed or fulfilled there are so many avenues these guys can take. It's a crying shame they become so isolated that they feel alone or that pain from injuries becomes so bad you can't live with it. I don't know the reasons he did it, but any way about it there are always better options than suicide.
