Who had the worst first car.

I'll go first.

1984 Volvo 240DL Wagon. Forest Green with tan interior.

Here's mine. Except mine was baby blue with white vinyl top. Had a 318 in it. Paid $500 in 1996. Sold it for $200 2 years later. 1976 Plymouth Fury Salon. Pic is if a 75, nothing changed.

1995 Nissan Altima. I wanted a S-10 Xtreme but it had shaved door handles so my dad wouldn't buy it, so he bought me the altima. It didn't end well...

I still have the Nissan logo off of the front of the altima, its in my xterra lol

Fiero was doomed from the start because corvette wouldn't let Pontiac use sports car parts... The dash was from a s10 and I forget what the other parts were but they had to scavenge other GM cars to build it

For serious. Off all the garbage GM ever threw together, I actually liked the Fiero. Especially the GT.

1982 ford exp. My dad came home from work one day and told me he bought me a car that needed some work. We hooked up the trailer and left to get it. When we got to the house it was at the owner handed me a chainsaw and said good luck. Me dad didn't inform me it was had been sitting in the woods for 10 years and I had to cut down trees so I could pull it out with the truck. He then handed be my first set of tools and told me if I wanted a car I had to fix it. Took me several months and a chilton manual but it eventually ran. After I drove it for a couple of weeks my dad sold it for $800 gave me his dodge colt that was ugly but a decent car and used the money for a down payment on a car for him. This was 20 years ago so $800 went a bit farther. Mine was mostly a blackish color with what was assumable red pin stripes at some point.

mine was a gt, the clutch on that thing was horrible and the car was only a two seater. was the exact opposite of what i wanted. and the fact i had to spend 1500 bucks on it even though i didn't want to buy it made me want to burn it down. lol. my father thought it was a great idea to take me to SF and learn to drive a stick in SF traffic in that thing one day. worst day ever.

1988 Ford Bronco 2. Loved it so I guess it doesn't count lol. My brother had a 80's model VW Fox! It was free and drove.... for about a month then caught fire lol. That had to be the worst for him

1993 pontiac grand prix GTP. (photo is not mine)

i owned the car for no more than 3 days until i threw it back at the dealership because after i went to firestone to have a once over they immediately condemned the car. the unibody was rusting away, i only had front brakes and other scary things i cant remember. but it did have a hole in the muffler so my friends called it the Stock car cuz GM ran this model in NASCAR at the time. but thanks to the IL lemon law the dealer gave me all my money and they took the car back. then i bought the Xterra off my father and the rest is history.

My best friend had a vwfox and a vw rabbit. We loved them both. I actually wanted to buy the rabbit from them a few years back before they scrapped it but the wife vetoed

88 audi 80, Say that 3 times fast. It was actually a great car. It was 13 years old when I got it and put it through hell. One thing I'm curious is how old are these cars when people got them. because a crappy car that is 3 years old vs a good car that was 10+ years old makes a huge difference.

I had a 1980's powder blue on blue interior 1988 Dodge Ram 50 4x4 with a 2" body lift. I don't have any pictures of it, but I ended up rattle canning it black because I hated the blue. I sold it to a friend of mine's girlfriend and 2 weeks later she burned the clutch and left a trail of parts down I-75. No photos of my own, but here's one for reference...

I bought my first car in 2004 for $750. It was a 1991 Chevy Cavalier 2-door hardtop with 185,xxx+ miles on it. It had been owned by a Ford mechanic so it actually drove very well and was in decent shape. Worst parts about it were the cheap Chevy interior, the rocker panels were 100% spray foam, and the dashboard was covered in black felt. Perks of the car were the incredibly cheap and available parts (brand new tires for $29 each!).

Eventually, the car just started to fall apart. The exhaust began falling off while driving down the road, the center pad and horn button on the steering wheel fell into my lap while going down the road, and the passenger-side window fell off the track. Rather than tear the door apart to fix it, I just duct taped it closed.

I drove it for about a year, put very little money into it, and sold it for $20. I'm willing to bet that where ever this car ended up, if it hasn't gone through a shredder yet, it's still running like a top.

Not my pic, but mine was identical - mine even had these wheels. Same color as well. Black interior.

Well, if we're naming all the vehicles we've owned now...

1) '91 Chevy Cavalier 2-dr hardtop 1.8L IIRC, auto, base model. Red ext. Black int.

2) '88 Dodge Ram D150, 2wd regular cab long bed, 239 V6, auto, base model. Brown ext. Tan int.

3) '89 Chevy Caprice, 4dr, 305 V8, auto, loaded. Baby blue ext. Navy blue int.

4) '01 Nissan Sentra SE 2.0, auto, loaded, white ext. Gray int.

5) '04 Nissan Xterra, I don't need to tell you people about this one.

If I had to rate my own cars from worst to best, they'd be in this exact order but I'd probably put the Ram and the Caprice at a tie.

first car I've owned, definitely not the worst car I've driven... That would be a 1970 AMC Pinto. Let's just say that it was completely rebuilt by an idiot. If you turned your left blinker on, it honked at the person in front of you HAHA
(yes, I'm 16 and have had the "privilege" to drive a Pinto)
