Which is worth locking, C200 or H233b

I currently have the C200, but have heard for years how tough the H233b is, even close to Ford 9 inch tough. As I carefully plan out mods, a rear locker is def at the top of my list. Will go Arb air locker, but is the C200 a tough enough axle considering the H233b's are so easy to pick up in salvage yards and on Nissan boards. Currently running 31x10.5's but will be stepping up to 33's next year, the max size being 35's if I ever SAS.

The h233b is a beast of an axle. Even before mine was locked I'd beat the hell out of it without a second thought.

Agree on the h233b, I've been considering swapping it out for a ford 9" but after lots of research everyone says how strong the h233b is so ill just keep it and air lock it

The Ford 9" is not a weak axle, but its 9" Ring Gear for example is marginally smaller than the 233 mm ring gear of the H233b, and overall, the h233b is a stronger set up.

Yeah. The 233mm ring gear actually measures over 9". Plus the thickness of the ring gear is much more substantial on the h233b than the Ford 9". And I know Ford 9s are supposed to be beast, but I dropped my entire truck full weight center of the diff on a rock at nXm last year. I thought for sure I'd crack the casing. That's how hard of a hit it was. But nope. Kept right on trucking.

The only plus for the ford 9 is the cost of gearing it, and locker options. If you really want to run a big tire, like 37 or better than just do a corp 14 and be done with it. The H233b is used as an upgrade in some Ranger circles just due to the streagth.
