I sure have missed everyone. I'm sure most of you know how complicated life can get. Sorry to just drop off like I did. Any time I wasn't working was spent taking care of my dad. He finally lost his battle with cancer earlier this year. I miss him so much every day but I'm thankful his suffering is over. Around the same time he passed away my mom was diagnosed with dementia. Shortly after, the doctors said she couldn't work and shouldn't drive or live on her own any more. I moved her into our house where we can keep an eye on her better and play taxi for her. She's done so much for me over the years and I plan to do everything in my power to take care of her. During all this a divorce between the owners of the house where I was living and getting a sweet deal on rent forced me into becoming a homeowner sooner than I planned. This has all been extremely stressful both mentally and financially but we all do what we have to in life.
Unfortunately this has caused any planned upgrades for the Xterra to be put on hold indefinitely. It has also resulted in an unfortunate lack of off-road play time. I can however report the BFG KM2s have held up quite well for 30,000 miles and still have plenty of tread for the rare times I get to treat them to some dirt and rocks. I've been slowly putting some money away for when the time comes to replace them and at this rate I "should" have enough extra to to do the suspension lift at the same time.
Anyway, things should improve next year and I'll hopefully be able to get life back on track. I plan to get back into the forums here and I'm looking forward to catching up with my friends here and getting to know the new ones that have come in while I was away. I probably won't be posting much soon until I read through the new post since my last visit. That should keep me busy for a couple of months at least. I'm determined to let the Xterra loose on some trails one more time before the end of the year. When I do I'll be sure to take some pictures and post them so you can see the Xterra is alive and well. I'll have to tell you about the RLC bumper saving the day a couple of times too.
