I parked my bug in front of it. I think it leaked something on the ground.

Over the weekend I changed the oil, replaced all of the serpentine belts, rebuilt my distributer and replaced the rotor. I had 155K on the original distributor, the bearing was dry and had a VERY minute amount of lateral play but nothing you could tell without taking the bearing out.

Just replaced the front diff fluid, rear diff fluid, t-case fluid and engine oil with Mobil 1. I fixed the rubbing issues with my 33's by cutting off some plastic and adjusting my steering stops. Only a minor adjustment was needed and my turn radius was not noticibly hampered.

I readjusted my lights to give me the edge on those suicidal deer when traveling this week. I slightly angled them to get more of the ditch when driving on those empty country highways where my brights don't get to.

Today I ripped out what was left of my lower radiator support.

That's it, that's all that was left. It all came out by hand.

A permanent fix is TBD/TBA, but will hopefully take place next weekend. A friend/coworker of mine is going to help me weld in some replacement steel.

    Here's my temporary fix:

A pair of nylon straps, zipped right up tight and out of the way of everything.

Also discovered this sensor, no idea what is is. Had two wires going into it, one orange with a green stripe and one blue with a white stripe.

Anybody know what it is? It's connected horizontally to the center section of the radiator support.

Oh, one more thing in the works, too...

    Hmmm...

Oh, and don't mind my duct tape first aid... :D

    Just a follow-up from yesterday...

This is just a mock-up, I still need to re-tape the badge and stick 'er there for good.

I tried two-toning the badge black and silver, with the "Nissan" in silver and the rest black. Despite multiple attempts, it just wasn't coming out good; so I went all black. Still have to do the rear badge and decide what I want to do with the "Xterra" and "SE" badges.

I'm also thinking of a way to fill the holes for the badge and just leaving it off...I think it looks pretty good without the burger.

Well, soon I will be replacing the transmission. haha. No joke. Just started yesterday and is getting worse... I was driving on the interstate, nice smooth.. Then I felt as if I was driving on a gravel road at 70mph. Pulled ove thinking something was leaking, maybe transmission fluid, nope. Drove home, everything fine. Today, about 15 mins ago, took off at a stop light... Went fine then the car had no pull. Was pushing the gas, RPM's near 4,000 still nothing. Took my foot off the gas, hit it again, Xterra jumped forward and drove like it was brand new.. What a great time! lol. I have considered sale but I think I will just keep it. I love it too much.

Gave him one last bath yesterday before it gets really cold. Hopefully sometime this week I can get the torsion bars re adjusted and no longer feel like I'm riding a horse. Get my ultra low profile bumpstops installed. Literally if I go over a speed bump at 3 mph you can hear and feel it slam the bumpstops.
Also when I cold start my X in the morning when its covered in ice my steering makes a buzzing noise but goes away after about a minute of driving, hoping that will change it.

Replaced my lower radiator support. No pics yet, but it's done and our DIY repair works great.

Got to see what my X looks like with no front bumper...lovin' it...my friend started talking about building me a custom front bumper without me even bringing up the subject!!! FOR $200!!!

Love this oil.. Of course I use the 5W-30 but Pennzoil HM is the only kind that will make my engine run right.
