I won't lie, the sound of a supercharger has won me over from the days of my lightning.. and regal... and now my Xterra. But a turbo'd Xterra is pretty damn sexy

Biggest issue is it was a rear mount so the turbo is where the factory muffler was... No offroad for him

That does seem like a silly place to mount a turbo.

And lots and lots of lag,, very far from an ideal location.
Why would you ever place a turbo there? Like I feel like that's the worse spot imaginable. Imagine a deep puddle.

I had turbo'd my old honda years ago and found if I drove like a normal, sensible person, I actually got way better fuel mileage than stock. More efficient and all that jazz. Once that needle went to the positive side of the gauge it was a different story though lol.
I still have a lot of those parts laying around. A shame there is nothing out for fuel management for our 1st gens.
