I stayed up til nearly 1:00 am waiting to see if this storm would produce any tornadoes. The weather up until this point has been stressing how dangerous tonight was going to be. Then they suddenly change their tune and say there is a very low chance for tornadoes, but the chance is still there :yawn::Annoyed::yawn::Sleepies: I'm going to bed.

I'm the same way. I will stay up all night if there are Tornado Warnings in our area. Especially with a wife and 2 kids. I know I can't stop one, but I would hate for something to happen and I would feel awful if I didn't try to keep them safe.

No kidding, it's all up to the weather. Preventative measures could have been taken to prevent some of the structure fires but that's neither here nor there. It all sucks. I've read that the ski slopes are using the snow maker to keep the lodge nice and soaking wet to prevent losing it.

At least you get some snow occasionally as Middle TN does, the valley here NEVER gets any snow and if we ever do, its only a dusting if that or no more than 1". For us to get snow, the other areas around us would have to be knee deep in snow if that.

Yeah I take back what I said about not getting any snow. Knox is getting pummeled by snow and sleet as I speak. Xterra performed well on slushy roads esp bridges.

I think this is the first decent snow we've had since I've had the X and I drove it on back roads that I didnt even have to go on and it did great. Even passed a jeep that was in a ditch.
