Well, I'm tired of smelling oil when I get out the truck. Im not sure that I have the time to tackle it myself nor do I really feel like fooling with it when I do get a day off

*anyways, The question is does anybody have a ballpark figure on what its goung to cost me if I let a shop do it? also is there anything else I need to have done while its tore down for valve cover gaskets?

thanks

Not sure on costs.. the passenger side takes MAYBE 15 minutes to do.. the drivers side requires you to do a bit more.. remove the intake tube, plenum, disconnect some hoses, etc.

Besides a set of valve cover gaskets you'll need the intake plenum gasket.

I would think a good shop could do it in 2-2.5 hours no problem

I did it for 25. Bucks it's like 10 screws and taking off the plugs two clips, it's well worth the hour the shop will cost and takes a quarter of the time. Autozone sells you both for 19.99 and I got some gasket sealer. This is the passenger side though. Driver will be a couple hundred since the have to take apart the whole side basically
