VA Off Roading map

I found this info randomly on a jeep forum. There's a map showing all VA off roading trails...or at least all that we know of right now I suppose. It's right here: VA OFF ROAD MAP. It has the following trails on it with listings and directions:

• Bald Mtn./Big Levels/Coal Rd.
• Shoe Creek
• Crozet
• Flag Pole
• Rocky Run
• The Cove
• Peter's Mill/Taskers Gap
• Gauley Ridge
• Cow Knob
• German River
• Little Dry River

Very cool find. I run off road / camping trips for xterras and jeeps once a month up in the GWNF. Our main campsites are off the Switzler Lake trail heads. Next one is January 24-26 weekend. Rain, shine or snow...its always a GO! Although we prey for rain more than anything. PM me know if you or any of your members want to participate or put on evite for more information.

Thats a good question. Probably because this is the first time I have been on this side of XN...haha. Its been a moderate group of about 3-4 people the last 2 years, but it has gotten to about 20 people on the evites that go out once a month. At most I have had 15 people / 9 trucks up there on one weekend. Its a real good time. About 60% Nubies with stock to moderate upgrades. All friends of mine in local NOVA area. Just now beginning to get more xterra owners involved. Thats the other 40% that keep coming back with more upgrades...haha. We typically meet at the Sheetz in Harrisonburg Friday by 6pm. Head in and drink all night, wheel all day Saturday. Feast all night and home Sunday. If its something you or anyone else are interested in, PM me with your email address and I will add you to list. I organize and run these trips once a month from October to March. It gives the best conditions (no bugs or heat) Spring and Summer are reserved for Lake trips. Right now I think we are up to 7 for the trip in January. Next one will be late Feb.

I think the VAXC would definitely welcome invites and would love to be a part of it. Do you have Facebook? If so I can add you to our page and you can list what you are planning as you plan them.

Thanks for the invite, I have sent member join request via facebook and added you and Prime to evite along with an email with personal info on it. Looked through your members, and noticed Matt Duck who lives down the street from me and a dozen others that I seem to be friends with on FB but not sure I have ever met them. Probably a FB confirmed because their profile had an xterra on it..haha.
