UXOC transcontinental railroad run, April XX, 28th!
<UPDATE:
Forgot to post up here changes due to weather, but we're going out today. Just 3 of us going, but looking like a nice, though very cool day, but at least the sun is shining.
Will have mySPOT sat tracker on, so you can follow the trip here:

Like to take a run from the Golden Spike Museum west almost to the Nevada border, ending the westbound portion of the trip at the old townsite of Lucin.
This would follow The historic transcontinental RailRoad bed all the way from Promontory summit to Lucin.
There are the remains of a few old townsites along the way and much of the trip is actually on the old RR bed itself.
Will be an all-day run, and an extra fuel container ought to be taken along.
Great information with pics here of a lot of what we would see on the trip.

Will also require a $5 day use fee at the Golden Spike Museum.
Again, weather will dictate a little bit on when this trip can happen as there are a few portions of the road pretty much impassible when wet.
From Lucin, head north to Grouse Creek and into Idaho. Stop at the City of Rocks area for dinner and then home.
