Sourcing items for a TS suspension. I feel like I have exhausted my searching for the answers, but may have possibly missed something out there (Club Frontier, XN, TNX, google). For some reason a stage 1 TS from ADO would take 8 to 10 weeks to source despite it using the Bilstein 5100s and 5125s (Radflos were the same). So going a different direction and sourcing items from different vendors to cut back on wait time. I believe I have the front suspension down but anyone can verify specifics please do. My questions are mostly on the rear suspension set up. Here's what I know so far, but unsure of:
Front Suspension:
-Bilstein 5100s from '00-'06 Tundra - getting from Amazon ( if better option lmk)
-'97 4runner coil springs - Looking at RockAuto for these but wondering where everyone has been sourcing them since the links I came across were broken; I also read (can't remember where) that the Moog springs are not the most ideal but not sure what they meant by this. Is there a recommended brand?? Hoping to get a 4in lift out of this combo. Will look into FJ springs later as I upgrade front bumper.
-SPC UCAs
-OEM Titan parts: LCAs, inner and outer TRE, and the Infiniti axles from RockAuto. Looking at the Mevotech servicable items ADO suggests.
-Extended Front Brake Line kit
-Cam Bolts
-Bumpstops - Looking at Timbrens here, but have also read on Energy Suspension, and Wheelers. If anyone knows of any major differences feel free to input (also with links to proper Wheelers)
Now onto the rear suspension and questions:
-ADO and other members mention using Bilstein 5125s for the rear. I have found part numbers and links to a few but specifically these two here and here. There is not much difference in the collapsed and extended lengths. Can either fit?? Is there a specific 5125 to match the 4inch lift from front?
- I do want to replace the rear leaf pack as it is already getting soft and hitting the bumpstop on dips I don't think it should (80k miles). I was leaning towards the ADO Broverland leaf pack but just read that it is stock +400 constant weight. Im not planning on running that much day to day. At most I have some light tools, Medic bag, and a duffle for my work gear (which gets taken out when I get home from shift). Later on I will have a 33 inch spare, rear bumper (eye balling the MaxArmor stuff, but can't find a place to order. Maybe its just through his IG?). I will, every few months, load it down with camping gear but its probably max 300lbs. So far I have seen setups with 2 inch leaf packs with extended shackles at 2in to obtain 4 inch lift, the other I have seen is 4 inch leaf pack (usually heavy duty "x amount over stock" ones) along with shackles. Looking for ANY suggestions anyone can offer here. I have looked into the OME, and of course the Alcans. Right now Im just looking for something which would work for my use in the meantime, and would upgrade later on as more stuff gets added on.
- Extended brake line kit
- Extended U-bolt kit
- 1.5 or 2inch spacers to "match" TS front offset
- Looking at shims, but unsure what the number of shims is dependent on, IIRC it was usually 1 shim per 1 inch lifted? Any input would help.
If I am missing anything please let me know and thank you in advance.
