Tow truck broke something?

So a squirrel chewed through my wiring harness and i had a tow truck take my x to the dealership. Now i have to push the shift lock button with a key to get it out of park. What could have been damaged as i wasn’t available when they towed and the car was dragged.

How much of the harness did they have to replace? There's a switch on the brake pedal that activates the unlock solenoid on the shifter. Make sure they're both plugged in and powered.

I think they pretty much replaced the entire wiring harness as you can see that large bundle coming to the firewall got chewed up halfway through

I checked and the brakes are plugged in but honestly I don’t think it’s a wiring issue

More detailed story goes like this. I drove to work fine, and then after work, started the car and drove out of the parking lot at that time the gas pedal stopped working and I had to pull off to the side of the road after inspecting I found the wires chewed up it took four days from my insurance company to get a tow truck out there and I was unavailable to meet the guy with keys so he attempted to drag my truck with the wheels turned to a 45° he was unable to tow it and left the car there. Another three days later my insurance finally got another tow truck out there and I was able to meet him with the keys and we had to push the shift lock button to get it out of park I’m pretty certain the driver broke something , I don’t think it’s electrical
