Nice score!I offered $150, he said no. Shot back a few days later that he would take $200. Then he asked about my profile pic being on Angel's Landing and was I a hiker. We talked it up for over a hour about different parks and trails around the US. I got it for the $150. View attachment 29121Man, I'm impressed how much more solid this stainless model is! Now to sell the other Performer.
Thanks. He mentioned "they" don't like filling these small bottles of propane. How do you fill yours?Nice score!
Haven't had to yet. Came from PO freshly filled ~2 years ago.Thanks. He mentioned "they" don't like filling these small bottles of propane. How do you fill yours?

Guess we'll see when it happens.
There's a "good ole boy" who runs a gas co about 20min rural from here, I figured I'd try him first..You could try to see if you have an industrial supplier for filling those, they tend to not care as much as the monkeys trained to just do the 20lbs as they fill random tank sizes all the time.
Shoot yea, then you can learn her the ways of the Web..The Weber I found beside the road has the frame for the "Sidekick" table. I just put the oldest on task of designing a replacement top for it.
I want it to have "Roadside GRILL" carved/routed/chiseled into it and be coated so it's protected. I think it'll be a nice project for her.
Fingers crossed!I got some tips from a known cheese smoker around these parts (Xterranation) and will try my hand at the fine arts of Cold smoking tomorrow.
Positive vibes palease! lol
Nice! And still a bargain!Sold the plastic top Performer this morning. Doubled my $$ and got a free grate to boot.View attachment 29218
I also gave it a 5min sit in the big smoker rolling pecan and hickory at the beginning, just for smoke. If you like Blue cheese read on.
Blue Cheese Chicken Dip
2c smoked chicken, finely shredded
1/2c Frank's Red Hot
1/2c Ranch dressing
1/2 cup crumbled Blue cheese
Full block cream cheese, softened
Mix well and bake for ~20-25mins, finish by browning top on broil 2-5mins.View attachment 29329I used a 9x12 Pyrex baking dish.
It's the thought that counts.Seasoned up some bacon wrapped asparagus with some Daddy Hinkles and threw it on with the protein. I'm trying, right?View attachment 29413
I've been looking for a deeper pit style grill to play with. I've been looking at the cheap box grills from mallmart with the upper vents instead of a chimney so I can do offset or full pit style.A Chargriller model 2121. Just an open face 29.5" wide with an adj height coal tray. It's got some high quality cast grates that cook so good for the price point.
This one works perfect for both those styles. I actually love it and figure it's worth the 159 or 69 Lowes hardware store wants but I found this one for 25$ on marketplace and put a warming grate in it for 20$..I've been looking for a deeper pit style grill to play with. Holy COW! Literally. I wanna see the cooker and watch them get it in and out!
My brain thought about this thing after I read it for a bit. You'd of course need a tractor or similar machine to move it but I'm bettin it gets put on a spit the way it's wrapped and tied and cooked over a fire..Holy COW! Literally. I wanna see the cooker and watch them get it in and out!
