also.... Milwaukee had a funeral for a fallen officer today. HOWEVER! it cost me 2 hours trying to go get loaded since they shut down the whole damn city and interstate!

That is a definite nope. You have to go out of your way and have very bad bush sense to have a bad encounter with either. Does it happen occasionally, Yes. I have had bears in my camp numerous times while vehicle and kayak camping. But never a bad encounter. And have seen the sign that a cougar has come through camp during the night. And no, I am not talking about Jims mom.
