the fad tattoo craze that hit a few years back pretty much killed what little interest i had in ever getting one.
I don't see how tats could be a fad unless you get one just to get one. Most tats have a meaning to them to the person wearing them. I want to get my kids names in their hand writing from when they were like in 1st or 2nd grade.

I think it's more an issue when pop culture appropriated them. Shows like Miami Ink and such

Agreed. I thinks it actually funny when people say "I'd never think you have tattoos."

That's because I'm ufcking smart enough to have them in places that are covered by business attire. So many people have tattoos that people don't realize. I especially love it when I go to outtings with a swimming pool and take off my shirt then boom, full back.

And to be fair my parents let me do whatever. I got my first ear piercing in 3rd grade bc 90s kid. Then I got a second hole in the same ear at 6th. In 9th I took the second one out and got the other ear pierces. Then slowly started going up in size as it was the thing to do. By end of college I had 00 and I dont take them out bc they won't close all the way anyway and never affected my work. Thank you IT world.
